Coccydynia
Your coccyx, also known as the “tail bone” is made up of the lowest 5 bones in the spine. Usually some of the 5 are joined together so that you may have only three or so segments. Your coccyx is as individual as you are, they come in all shapes and sizes! These segments, like all bones are held together by ligaments. Coccydynia is the term for any pain coming from the coccyx area. Pain can start from a blow (kick in the butt), a fall on your bottom, childbirth, or by a small bony growth that inflames a bursa.Search
